A Gastropub is a British term for a Public House that specializes in high quality food, a step above the more basic “Pub Grub”. Coined the phrase was in 1991 when David Eyer and Mike Belben opened a pub called the "Eagle" in London. Gastropubs usually have an atmosphere that is relaxed and its focus is on cuisine prepared as well as in the best restaurants. Here at the Handlebar we prepare everything fresh and all is made to order, from the appetizers to the salads, entrees and desserts. They placed emphasis on the quality of food served.
